Thailand's National Triathlon Team

The International School of Pha Ngan (ISPG) community celebrates a proud moment as Coach Arm (Yuttakarn Matarach) represented our school at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. Serving as Head Coach for the Thailand Triathlon National Team, he led athletes through intense competition at Laem Mae Phim Beach, Rayong, from December 16–20, 2025.

A Coach Who Builds Champions

Our holistic British National Curriculum integrates academics, nature-based learning, and physical development across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Students build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the resilience they need to thrive in a changing world.

lite-level expertise to our Koh Phangan community through the SeaLion Premium Swimming Centre at ISPG. He has coached 18 athletes who qualified for Thailand National Championships and served as Youth Coach for the Asian Youth Games 2025. His dedication to high-performance training and innovation enriches every student who learns with him—from toddlers taking their first strokes to young athletes preparing for competition.

A Regional Stage for Excellence

The 2025 SEA Games brought together athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations, featuring 574 multi-sport events across Thailand. Rayong served as one of the eastern co-hosts, welcoming triathlon alongside canoeing, mountain biking, and other sports.

Athletes battled blistering heat and tactical races across aquathlon, triathlon, and duathlon formats in challenging conditions. Individual triathletes completed a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike ride, and 5-kilometer run, testing endurance and skill at the highest regional level.

Active Living Through ISPG’s FLAIR Model

At ISPG, we develop confident, capable young people through our research-based FLAIR model—which places Active Living at its core. Coach Arm’s commitment to high-performance sport shows our students what dedication looks like in action. His work with Thailand’s national team reflects the values we guide children toward every day: discipline, teamwork, and excellence.

Through our partnership with SeaLion Premium Swimming Centre, ISPG students access high-quality swim training in our 25-meter pool. Our child-centered programs develop swimming skills from age 2 through youth competition levels, fostering water confidence, safety, and athletic growth at each child’s individual pace.

Building Future Leaders on Koh Phangan

We fully support Coach Arm’s contribution to Thailand’s success on the regional stage. His presence at the SEA Games connects our island community to international sport—and demonstrates to our families that growth happens when we step beyond our comfort zones.

Our holistic British National Curriculum integrates academics, nature-based learning, and physical development across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Students build communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the resilience they need to thrive in a changing world.

Together, we celebrate this achievement and look forward to more moments when ISPG represents Thailand globally.
