Kindergarten in Koh Phangan — where curiosity is given room to work
Our Kindergarten combines the Montessori framework with nature-based, play-led learning. Children learn through exploration, hands-on activity and guided play.
Our Montessori-inspired approach
We believe the most powerful learning happens when a child’s natural curiosity has room to grow. That’s why we weave Montessori principles — independence, self-motivation, hands-on discovery — into the Cambridge framework from day one.
Our tropical island setting gives us a genuine classroom without walls. It fits naturally with the Montessori focus on nature and hands-on discovery.
- Child-Led Learning Children pick their own activities based on what they enjoy and want to learn.
- The Prepared Environment Classrooms are organised with purpose-built materials so children can learn and practise by themselves.
- Vertical Grouping Different ages learn together, letting younger children learn from older ones who lead.
- Respect for the Individual Every child learns at their own speed, with support for their specific needs.
Nursery
Children begin their Montessori journey in a warm, prepared environment.
In Nursery, children aged 2 to 3 build curiosity and confidence through hands-on, child-led activities. Daily routines encourage independence and self-assurance, in a prepared environment designed just for them.
Key Areas of Learning
Sensory play and exploration come first. From there, children build early communication, take their first steps into literacy and numeracy, and start discovering the world outdoors.
- Communication & Language
- Personal, Social & Emotional Development
- Early Literacy & Numeracy Exploration
- Imaginative Play & Creative Arts
- Environmental Discovery & Nature Learning
Casa
Children deepen their learning across five key areas, each progressing at their own pace.
Casa builds on our Montessori foundation within the Cambridge Curriculum. We balance structured learning with playful exploration to prepare children for Primary. Literacy, numeracy and communication grow through engaging, meaningful activities — alongside emotional wellbeing and curiosity.
Key Areas of Learning
Structured play sits alongside early academics, building toward Key Stage 1. Literacy and numeracy grow next to independence and social skills, so children arrive at Primary ready for the classroom and for each other.
- Literacy Early reading and writing
- Numeracy Early maths concepts
- Understanding the World
- Social-Emotional Development
- Nature & Outdoor Discovery
Come and see a Montessori morning
The best way to understand a prepared environment is to stand in one while it is being used.
